By accessing or using PdfStuffAI ("the Service", "we", "us", "our"), located at www.pdfstuffai.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to all of these terms, do not use the Service.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using this website, you confirm that you are at least 13 years of age and agree to comply with these Terms. We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time without prior notice. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

2. Description of Services

PdfStuffAI provides free, browser-based tools including but not limited to:

• Video downloading (YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook)
• PDF tools (editing, merging, splitting, converting, compressing)
• Image tools (converting, compressing, resizing, cropping, EXIF removal)
• Audio/Video conversion tools
• AI-powered subtitle generation
• QR code generation
• File transfer and ZIP utilities
• TikTok profile bulk download (mass download of all posts from a public profile into a single ZIP file)
• Automatic browser-based file download delivery

3. Disclaimer of Warranties & Absolute Operator Exemption

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. THE OPERATOR IS NOT RESPONSIBLE OR LIABLE FOR ANYTHING AT ALL, INCLUDING FILE LOSS OR SERVICE CANCELLATION. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that any defects will be corrected. We make no representations or warranties regarding the accuracy, reliability, or completeness of any content processed through our tools.

4. Limitation of Liability & Refund Policy

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE OPERATOR AND CONTRIBUTORS SHALL HAVE ZERO LIABILITY AND ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES.

ABSOLUTELY NO REFUNDS: All purchases of Premium Mode keys are 100% final and non-refundable. No refunds will be provided for any reason whatsoever, including but not limited to:

• Geoblocks and VPNs: Regional copyright geoblocks, ISP blocks, or VPN restrictions preventing you from downloading specific videos or using tools.
• Server Termination & Maintenance: The server may restart, undergo updates, suffer downtime, or shut down permanently without notice, causing active tasks to be cancelled. No refunds or compensations are issued in these events.

Operators and contributors are not liable for:

• Loss of data, files, or content processed through the Service
• Unauthorized access to or alteration of your transmissions or data
• Any third-party content downloaded through the Service
• Any interruption or cessation of the Service
• Any viruses, bugs, or other harmful components transmitted through the Service
• Any errors, inaccuracies, or omissions in any content
• Failure to detect malicious software — While we employ automated security scanning, we do not guarantee the identification of all threats and are not responsible for any infections resulting from files processed via our system.

5. User Responsibilities

You are solely responsible for:

• Ensuring you have the right to download, process, or convert any content you submit to the Service
• Complying with all applicable local, national, and international laws and regulations
• Ensuring that your use of downloaded content complies with the original platform's Terms of Service
• Any consequences resulting from files you upload, download, or process through the Service

We do not host, store permanently, or distribute copyrighted content. All downloaded files are temporarily cached on the server for processing purposes only and are automatically deleted within 30 minutes.

6. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any illegal purpose or in violation of any laws
• Use automated systems, bots, or scrapers to access the Service
• Attempt to circumvent the cryptographic Proof-of-Work (PoW) challenge, IP reputation, AI bot detection, or ad blocker detection systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
• Upload malicious files, malware, virus-infected content, or harmful scripts.
• Upload unauthorized executables or system-level scripts (except as permitted via our quarantine protocols).
• Use the Service to infringe on intellectual property rights of others.
• Resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit the Service without authorization.
• Use browser extensions, scripts, or other tools specifically to circumvent or bypass ad blocker detection mechanisms employed by the Service.
• Attempt to evade, spoof, or circumvent the AI-powered bot detection system, including but not limited to rotating IP addresses, falsifying User-Agent headers, or employing proxy networks to avoid bans.

7. Delivery Email & Bot Protection

Certain services (e.g., YouTube downloads using Google Drive delivery) require an email address to deliver processed files. By providing your email address, you consent to receiving download delivery notifications (including Google Drive links and server restart notifications). Your email is used solely for file delivery purposes and is never sold, shared, or used for marketing. All tasks are protected by a client-side cryptographic Proof-of-Work (PoW) browser challenge to verify human requests. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

8. Third-Party Content & Links

The Service may contain links to third-party websites or display advertisements. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of any third-party sites. Your interaction with third-party content is at your own risk and governed by that third party's terms and policies.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless PdfStuffAI, its operators, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.

10. Service Availability & Termination

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (or any part thereof) at any time, with or without notice. We may also restrict or terminate your access to the Service at our sole discretion if we believe you have violated these Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which the Service operators reside, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved through binding arbitration or in the courts of the applicable jurisdiction.

12. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful, void, or unenforceable, that provision shall be deemed severable and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of the remaining provisions.

14. System Security & Quarantine

We employ automated detection systems to prevent the transmission of malicious software through our Service.

• Quarantined Files: Files identified as scripts or executables may be automatically "Quarantined" by renaming them with a .bak extension. This makes the file inert and safe to store.
• User Responsibility: If you receive or download a quarantined file, you are strictly responsible for scanning it with a reputable antivirus (e.g., Windows Defender) before use.
• Reservation of Rights: We reserve the right to block, delete, or restrict any content that triggers our security filters at our sole discretion, without notice.

15. Ad Blocker Policy

PdfStuffAI is a free service supported entirely by advertising revenue. To sustain this free-to-use model, we require that users disable ad blocking software when actively using our processing tools.

• Detection: We use client-side detection methods (bait elements and network request checks) to determine whether an ad blocker is active in your browser.
• Gating: If an ad blocker is detected, you may browse the site freely, but submitting tasks to our processing tools (PDF tools, media downloaders, image tools, subtitle generator, file transfer, ZIP tools, etc.) will be temporarily restricted until the ad blocker is disabled.
• Verification: After disabling your ad blocker, you can click the "Check Again" button on the prompt to verify and immediately resume using all tools.
• No Data Collection: The ad blocker detection itself does not collect any personal data beyond an anonymous log entry (IP address and detection result) used for aggregate analytics.
• Circumvention: Attempts to bypass, disable, or circumvent the ad blocker detection system through browser extensions, JavaScript injection, or any other means are considered a violation of these Terms and may result in restricted access to the Service.

16. AI-Powered Bot Detection & Automated Threat Response

PdfStuffAI employs an AI-powered bot detection system to protect the Service from automated abuse, scraping, and malicious traffic.

• How It Works: All HTTP requests are logged in a server-side buffer. Periodically, these logs are analyzed by an AI model (Gemma 4 31B) to identify suspicious patterns such as rapid-fire requests, path scanning, credential stuffing, and known attack tool signatures.
• Device Fingerprinting: We generate a SHA-256 device fingerprint from your HTTP headers (User-Agent, Accept-Language, Accept-Encoding) to help identify repeat offenders across IP changes. This fingerprint is not a unique identifier tied to your hardware — it is derived solely from standard HTTP request headers.
• Automated Banning: If the AI determines with high or medium confidence that an IP address or device fingerprint is engaged in malicious activity, access to the Service may be automatically restricted. Bans are persistent and enforced on all subsequent requests.
• Search Engine Exemption: Legitimate search engine crawlers (Googlebot, Bingbot, Yandex, Baidu, etc.) and social media link preview bots are explicitly whitelisted and will never be blocked by this system.
• Appeal Process: If you believe your IP has been incorrectly banned, you may contact us via the Feedback widget on any page. We reserve the right to review and overturn bans at our sole discretion.
• No Guarantee: While the AI system significantly reduces malicious traffic, we do not guarantee that all threats will be detected or that legitimate users will never be affected. Use of this system is fully automated and may result in false positives.

17. Server Maintenance & Task Interruption

From time to time, we may need to restart or update the server to apply improvements, patches, or address issues. In such cases:

• Task Cancellation: Any in-progress download, conversion, or processing task may be cancelled as a result of a server restart.
• Email Notification: If you provided an email address for your task, you will receive an automated notification email informing you of the cancellation, along with a "Retry" link to seamlessly resume your request.
• No Liability: We are not liable for any loss of progress or inconvenience caused by service interruptions. Files that were partially processed may be lost during a restart.
